Some 245 million wearable devices are expected to be sold in 2019, including smart watches, fitness trackers, augmented and virtual reality headsets, and portable action cams. This market is driven primarily by the consumer sector. However, wearables are also gaining in importance in industrial applications, in the military and especially in the health sector.
