Different technologies are available to charge electric vehicles. The main thing that distinguishes them is their power output – and thus the time it takes to charge the battery.
Different types of charging systems are available to charge electric vehicles. In wired (or conductive) charging systems that use alternating current, the power from the AC grid is first transferred to the vehicle.
The vehicle has a built-in charger that converts the alternating current into the direct current required by the battery.
Higher power outputs can be achieved by charging the vehicle with direct current. With this method, the charger is integrated into a charging station.
