Schon heute werden im Rahmen der Automatisierung etwa 90 Prozent aller industriellen Produktionsprozesse durch Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik unterst&uuml;tzt. Doch im Zuge von <a href=\"https:\/\/future-markets-magazine.com\/de\/encyclopedia\/industrie-4-0\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Das Konzept beschreibt die zunehmende Vernetzung und Digitalisierung in der industriellen Fertigung. Kern ist die&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Industrie 4.0<\/a> setzt sich die Durchdringung der Fertigungstechnik weiter fort: Mikroelektronische Systeme werden in immer mehr Maschinen, Robotern, Betriebsmitteln oder Werkst&uuml;cken implementiert. Je nach Einsatzzweck sind sie mit Sensoren, Mikrocontrollern und Leistungselektronik ausgestattet, die gewisserma&szlig;en Sinne, Gehirn und Muskeln der intelligenten Systeme bilden. Stattet man diese Systeme zus&auml;tzlich mit drahtlosen Kommunikationsschnittstellen und einer eindeutigen Identifizierung aus, k&ouml;nnen sie sich mit anderen Systemen in der Wertsch&ouml;pfungskette vernetzen &ndash; die Grundlage f&uuml;r Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).<\/p>\n<h2>Hohe Anforderungen an Halbleiter<br>\n<\/h2>\n<p>F&uuml;r den Einsatz im industriellen Umfeld m&uuml;ssen die elektronischen Bausteine allerdings verschiedene Voraussetzungen erf&uuml;llen: Entscheidend sind Eigenschaften wie Robustheit, Gewicht, Volumen und vor allem der Preis. Die Mikrochips, die in diesen Systemen verbaut werden, m&uuml;ssen m&ouml;glichst klein und kosteng&uuml;nstig sein &ndash; bei hoher Leistungsf&auml;higkeit &ndash;, damit sie in der ben&ouml;tigten hohen Anzahl in der Wertsch&ouml;pfungskette implementiert werden k&ouml;nnen.<br>\nDie Entwicklung der entsprechenden Halbleiter ist in den letzten Jahren stark vom sogenannten &bdquo;Moore&rsquo;schen Gesetz&ldquo; geleitet worden, nachdem sich die Leistung eines Halbleiter-Chips innerhalb von zwei Jahren verdoppelt hat. Diese permanente &ndash; &bdquo;More Moore&ldquo; genannte &ndash; Leistungssteigerung f&uuml;hrt letztendlich zu immer kleineren mikroelektronischen Bauteilen. Einen anderen Weg geht das &bdquo;More than Moore&ldquo;-Konzept, das von immer mehr Halbleiterherstellern verfolgt wird: Es integriert in eine vorhandene Baugr&ouml;&szlig;e immer mehr Funktionen. Prozessoren werden also zum Beispiel um Funktionalit&auml;ten wie analoge und passive Bauelemente, Sensoren oder Biochips erg&auml;nzt. Die Entwicklung solcher kundenorientierten L&ouml;sungen f&uuml;r spezifische Anwenderbranchen erlaubt die Verwendung von &auml;lteren mikroelektronischen Bauelementen und Prozesstechnologien. Dadurch ist der Investitionsbedarf in diesem Bereich deutlich geringer.<\/p>\n<h2>Preiswerter, effizienter, leistungsst&auml;rker<br>\n<\/h2>\n<p>Derartige Chips bieten neben einer verbesserten Performance und Zuverl&auml;ssigkeit auch gleichzeitig eine h&ouml;heren Energieeffizienz und geringere Fertigungskosten &ndash; wichtige Voraussetzung f&uuml;r die breite Anwendung in der vernetzten Fabrik und damit f&uuml;r den Erfolg von <a href=\"https:\/\/future-markets-magazine.com\/de\/encyclopedia\/industrie-4-0\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Das Konzept beschreibt die zunehmende Vernetzung und Digitalisierung in der industriellen Fertigung.
